This is my journal/diary/training log. Unlike Martha's, you don't have to ask permission to read it. Of course, you'll probably be 2x4 out of your mind unless ewe no me, or you like watching grass grow, or you wonder what it's like to ride a fixed gear bicycle for a really long time.

You mentioned the tandem just this last week but it didn't register with me. I didn't recognize that you have three custom bikes being built, it's going to be tough for you to pick which one to ride, and good luck getting many family or friends to go do a RAAM training ride with you. 300 minutes in the saddle must seem impossible to someone who would cringe at just 30 minutes.
Exciting. I'm jealous. Maybe I should get a job so I can get a new bike. Hmmmm, I'll have to think about that frightening concept a bit more before I commit to it.
Oh, and Emma says you already have a lot of bikes.
My reply to Matthew:
A few months ago I finally decided to go ahead with the tandem in spite of everything else that's going on with RAAM. The way I look at it, the kids aren't getting any younger. I want to spend as much time with them on the bike as I can before they grow up and leave the nest. Bikes cost a little money, but time is priceless. By the way, I hope you'll take the tandem out for a spin now and then too. I think it will be a good fit for both of us and a variety of stokers.
