Two Hundred Ten

Today I took the plunge and ordered components to build two wheelsets I plan to use during RAAM. The image above is from spocalc, which I used to calculate my spoke lengths.

Wheelset #1

1 x Chris King single speed front hub, silver, 32 hole

1 x Chris King single speed rear hub, silver, 32 hole

1 x Chris King cog, 14 tooth, stainless steel

1 x Chris King cog, 18 tooth, stainless steel

68 x Wheelsmith DB14 spokes, silver, 293 mm (292.7 spocalc, 3 cross)

68 x Wheelsmith, 1/2 inch, 14g Duristan coated brass nipples

2 x Velocity 700c Aerohead rims, silver, 32 hole, machined

Wheelset #2

1 x Chris King single speed front hub, black, 28 hole

1 x Chris King single speed rear hub, black, 28 hole

1 x Chris King cog, 16 tooth, aluminum

60 x Wheelsmith XL14 spokes, black, 286 mm (286.1 spocalc, 2 cross)

60 x Wheelsmith 1/2 inch, 14g black aluminum nipples

2 x Velocity 700c Aerohead rims, black, 28 hole, machined

Other

2 packs of 72 Velocity veloplugs (or 130 plugs if bought in bulk)

1 x small container Wheelsmith SpokePrep (color doesn't matter)

1 x DT Swiss spoke head driver
