One Hundred Forty-Six

Last Wednesday I blew grass clippings off tees with a leaf blower. Friday and this morning I mowed greens - awesome!

Saturday I went to the immediate care clinic because I thought I might have strep throat. I do. So does everyone else.

Sunday I made the final measurements for the 5K/10K Mid-Summer Melt-Down courses.

This afternoon I plan to play 18 holes with David. They're top dressing the South course today, and there are no tournaments, so hopefully it won't be too busy.

If I hadn't felt so rotten on Saturday, I was going to go for a long ride. Instead I sharpened the reel mower and did odd jobs around the house.

Aren't you glad you asked?

Bye!

The Reserve has a lot of bunkers! Over 100 on the South course alone. My first day consisted mainly of hand raking the edges of bunkers for four hours. It gives you a new perspective on how expensive bunkers can be to maintain. Want to know more? See:

One Hundred Forty-Four

Jet lag is still getting the best of me after two weeks in Malaysia. I didn't do any riding while I was there. Instead, I hiked up a hill behind the hotel several times carrying jugs of water. The second Sunday I hiked up Penang Hill with some friends in the morning and went to a Dragon Boat practice in the afternoon. Below are some pictures from the trip. This Saturday is my orientation at The Reserve. Not much time left before RAO!
